Buyanjargal Tungalag joined GRATA International Mongolia LLP in 2020. She completed her bachelor’s degree in law at the Law School of the National University of Mongolia and a master’s degree in business administration with specialization in corporate governance from the University of Finance and Economy. Also she is a member of the Mongolian BAR Association.
Throughout her tenure at GRATA, Buyanjargal has been actively engaged in a variety of projects, gaining substantial expertise and knowledge, especially in the practice areas of Corporate and M&A, Commercial contracts, Employment, Data Protection, and Tax.

- Advised on the import of non-tobacco nicotine products;
- Drafted, reviewed, and revised various contracts including an Importer Agreement, Service Agreement, Sale and Purchase Agreement, Supply contract, etc.;
- Advised on various legal queries including Collateral Item Registration, Escrow account, Bankruptcy and Insolvency proceeding, UBO registration, Tax Issues, Land Use, Transfer of Shares, etc.;
- Reviewed and revised various data-protection-related documents;
- Advised on legal forms of doing business in Mongolia, main taxes, and forms of financing a company;
- Reviewed and revised various insurance agreements on employer’s liability, equipment, health, professional liability, etc.;

- Advised on Liquidation process of a foreign investment company in Mongolia and represented in the process;
- Conducted extensive research on the Corporate Governance Assessment of Mongolia under the EBRD’s instruction;
- Advised on obtaining various licenses and permits such as non-destructive testing license, radiographic performance license, construction license, etc.;
- Incorporated representative offices and subsidiaries of foreign legal entities in Mongolia;
- Drafted founding documents for all types of legal entities including foreign investment limited liability companies and representative offices of foreign legal entities;
- Drafted of a resolution on setting up a permanent establishment (the PE) in Mongolia for tax purpose, and carried out registration of the PE as a taxpayer in Mongolia;
- Advised on mobile TV launch in Mongolia in terms of content restriction and copyrights;
- Advised on termination of liquidation process and re-capitalization of a company;
- Updated HR documents including internal labor procedures and employment agreement templates in accordance with the new Labor Code (2021);
- Conducted legal due diligence on target local companies that are subject to M&A projects.
