
Until recently, there was a practice, supported by many letters from various departmental bodies, according to which port authorities inevitably refused to register with the RMRS ships whose gross tonnage does not exceed 80 units.
But now the views of government agencies on this situation have changed and a new practice has begun to emerge. Now registration of ships with a gross tonnage of less than 80 units with the RMRS is a real prospect.
