Vladimir Komarov, Managing Partner of GRATA International St. Petersburg, shared his story about the Center for Practical Law at St. Petersburg State University Law School. Center for Practical Jurisprudence at the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University - the June issue of Legal Insight magazine was published on the topic of legal education: “Profession is changing, but education?”
“In order to solve our tasks of recruiting young specialists, our company created the Center for Practical Jurisprudence at the Law Faculty of SPbSEU (thanks to the University's management for openness). The Center's task is to give students an idea of how practical work works, to try themselves in solving real problems. Every year we organize the All-Russian student case tournament “Department”, last year 300 students from more than 20 universities participated in it. We attract partners to participate in the Center's events. Many winners of our tournaments work for our partners.”
The Center makes a great contribution to the process of integrating entry-level professionals into law departments and firms and helps to track trends in working with young professionals and solve the challenges of attracting them more effectively.”
