Partner of GRATA International took part in the International PPP Conference in Bishkek

On October 5-6, 2022, an international conference on PPP was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in a hybrid format (offline / online).

The conference hosted thematic sessions on priority areas of PPP development: energy, healthcare, education, and transport. International organizations provided presentations on the implementation of existing, planned PPP projects in Kyrgyzstan.

Within the framework of the conference, bilateral meetings were held and a number of agreements were reached.

Shaimerden Chikanayev, PhD student at CUHK University Law, Partner of GRATA International, Kazakhstan (Currently taking a study sabbatical until 2026. Not an employee of GRATA) spoke at the conference with the topic: "Public-Private Partnership Laws and Policies in Central Asia - Comparative Analysis", where he raised issues such as:

    • Importance of PPP for the countries of Central Asia;
    • PPP in Kazakhstan (stages of development);
    • The concept of PPP in the law of the Central Asian countries;

 

  • The concept of an agreement on PPP in the Central Asian countries and more.

The conference was also attended by international partners and experts on PPP, heads of government agencies from the Central Asian regions.
