Maxim Lashkevich is a Partner and Head of the Construction and Real estate team at GRATA International with more than 20 years of experience. He has extensive experience in the issues of land law, construction, and supporting of transactions with real estate property.

For over four years, he worked as a lawyer and managing executor in the system of state organizations engaged in the registration of real estate property and transactions with it, took part in the drafting of regulatory legal acts, and guidelines on the state registration of real estate. He also held managing positions in design and engineering organizations for over seven years involved in supporting the development of design documentation, implementation of projects in construction, dealing with issues of allotment of land and its use, also he was engaged in the analysis of technical regulatory legal acts in the field of design and construction, preparation of proposals for improving the provisions contained in them.

Maxim supports companies in the projects connected with investments in real estate and advises on the issues of land use, construction, transactions with real estate, and corporate relations regulation.

Experience
  • Representation of investors’ interests in acquisition of a land plot for the construction of a trade center in Vitebsk and support of construction, negotiations with citizens whose residential buildings were to be demolished for the purposes of construction;
  • Representation of investors’ interests in the conclusion of the investment agreement with the Republic of Belarus and acquisition of a land plot for the construction of a trade center in city of Mazyr;
  • Advising and support of the investor during the implementation of the project for the construction of a plant for the production of liquefied petroleum gases;
  • Advising and support in the implementation of the investment project for the construction of three administrative buildings on the Zheleznodorozhnaya street in the city of Minsk;
  • Elaboration of a concept for resolving a dispute between the developer and participants in shared construction regarding parking erected during the construction of the business center, preparing the action plan, as the result the state registration of the parking as the property of the developer was recognized by the court as invalid, the partnership of owners got the land plot, owners obtained the possibility of using the parking plot;
  • Advising on making investments in construction of mushroom production facilities, due diligence of a Belarusian company, support for the investor’s acquisition of shares in the company, and conclusion of the SHA between the members;
  • Representation of interests of an international group of companies when concluding the casino lease agreement at the Renaissance Minsk hotel and advising on further procedures for its operation;
  • Representation of interests of a Russian investor in the course of acquisition of a major production base by purchasing a Belarusian legal entity with a preliminary DD and support of further reconstruction of that base;
  • Representation of investors’ interests in acquisition of a land plot in the central part of Minsk by purchasing a Belarusian legal entity (the land user) for further implementation of a business center construction project, legal support of the construction;
  • Advising and support of the Russian chain of catering facilities in the course of its entry to the Belarusian market: conclusion of the license agreement for transfer of the rights on intellectual property objects, etc.;
  • Legal support of a foreign investor in the implementation of a major project in the field of animal husbandry - registration of a company, obtaining land for commercial agriculture, advice on the import of plant seeds and livestock;
  • Legal support for the activities of a developer of a large business center in the central part of Minsk, creation of a partnership of owners for the operation of the constructed facility;
  • Extensive experience in support of complicated cases on state registration of real estate property;
  • Extensive experience in representation of interests of the parties in conclusion and performance of real estate property sale and purchase agreements, equity participation in construction, use of real estate property as security for other obligations;
  • Extensive experience in support of transactions with shares of commercial organizations, registration, reorganization, and liquidation of companies;
  • Experience in drafting normative and legal acts in the sphere of state registration of real estate property, developing of proposals for improvement of legal environment on the issues of land plots allocation and land usage procedures.

Experience in working with technical regulatory legal acts in the field of design and construction, preparation of proposals for improving the conditions contained therein.
