Amendment to the
Telecommunication Law of the
Republic of Azerbaijan

In accordance with the Law on “Amendment to the Telecommunication Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated 10 March 2017, operators and providers of internet telecommunication service shall be registered with the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies (“MTCHT”) within 15 days upon the commencement date of rendering service. Operators and providers shall inform MTCHT about changes on their registry information within 10 days after such changes made. Operators and providers take responsibility for non-compliance with these rules according to the legislation.

The Cabinet of Ministers shall approve the registry rules of operators and providers within 3 months period and inform the President accordingly. The operators and providers, which started to provide services until the effective date of these rules shall apply to MTCHT within 2 months period after effective date of those rules.
