“We represented the interests of the co-owner of the daughter of a large Turkish manufacturer of building materials. The client bought land in the Left Bank industrial zone of Rostov-on-Don, built a cement plant and lost everything, since it was later established that the land was illegally acquired by the seller from the municipality. We filed a claim against the seller to recover damages in the form of the cost of the land plot. The court of first instance rejected the claim, but we intend to continue to seek protection of the client’s rights.

The case is resonant, since other investors in the Left Bank zone found themselves in a similar situation. The inability to return your investments negatively affects the investment climate of the Rostov region."
