Uzbekistan plans to get a sovereign rating before the end of 2018 and issue its debut Eurobonds. This was reported by Reuters, quoting the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan Timur Ishmetov.
According to Ishmetov, the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan is working on attracting a consultant to obtain an international rating.
Ishmetov did not name the expected volume of Eurobonds issue.
Earlier, the Uzbek officials called the possible volume of Eurobond issue within US$0.2-1.0 billion.
