Uzbekistan joined two 
CIS treaties

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed decrees on December 9, 2019 on joining two CIS treaties:

  • Agreement on the Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States signed at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS on November 28, 2006, in Minsk;
  • Agreement on the Council for Interregional and Cross-Border Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States signed at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS on October 10, 2008, in Bishkek.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send notifications to the depositary on the implementation of internal procedures for the entry of the said international treaties into force. After these agreements take effect, the Government and the heads of the relevant ministries and agencies shall monitor the implementation of obligations undertaken by Uzbekistan.
