In accordance with the Government Resolution (№ 609 dated 20 July 2019 г.), coordination, control and general management of the Agency’s activities, strengthening the material and technical base and organizing advanced training for Agency employees is carried out by the Ministry of Justice.

The main task of the Agency is to ensure the implementation of single state policy in the field of intellectual property, the provision of legal protection to inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks and other intellectual property.

The agency is headed by the Deputy Minister of Justice - the director appointed and dismissed by the President.

For scientific analysis of the problems, consideration and development of recommendations on the most critical issues of the legal protection of intellectual property in the Agency, a scientific and technical council of highly skilled workers, leading scientists and specialists in the field of intellectual property is formed.

The employees of the Agency on the status, conditions of medical care, wages and material incentives are equal to the corresponding employees of the central office of the Ministry of Justice.
