Tajikistan cancels
state duty to start
and liquidate a business

The Government of Tajikistan cancels the payment of state fees for registration or liquidation of organizations and enterprises, regardless of the form and types of activity. The same easing is expected for individual
entrepreneurs.

Corresponding amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On State Duties" were adopted on 23 October 2019 by the lower house
of parliament.

The deputy head of the Tajik government's Tax Committee noted that the amendments, prepared on behalf of the government, are aimed at reducing financial costs and saving time for entrepreneurs when setting up or
liquidating their businesses.

The deputy head of the Tajik Tax Committee added that the amendments help to raise Tajikistan's rating in the World Ban's Doing Business report on the indicator "business registration".
