Senior Associate of GRATA International in Uzbekistan won the 10th International Commercial & Investment Arbitration Moot Competition

The International Commercial & Investment Arbitration Moot Competition is an annual international competition that brings together law students from around the world to participate in mock arbitration hearings. The competition focuses on international commercial and investment arbitration and is designed to simulate a real-life arbitration proceeding.

Tatyana Popovkina, Senior Associate of GRATA Uzbekistan, with members of the LL.M. Class of 2023 at the University of Georgia School of Law won the 10th International Commercial & Investment Arbitration Moot Competition.

Their coach is Georgia Law Dean, Peter B. “Bo” Rutledge, a legal scholar and professor who currently serves as Dean of the University of Georgia School of Law. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at several universities, including Harvard Law School and the University of Paris.

The competition took place on March 24 and 25 at American University Washington College of Law – involves a commercial dispute to be resolved under the rules of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association.
