Residents of the Mirzo Ulugbek
Innovation Centre joining the
IT-PARK

Given the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Centre (MUIC) is abolished, and its residents move to the Technological Park of software products and information technologies. This is done to improve the ICT sector further; it is expected that this step will combine joint efforts to develop the IT culture and startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan and will raise the quality of domestic products to a new level.

In spite of moving to the IT-PARK, MUIC residents will retain their benefits. Accordingly, residents of MUIC are exempt from all types of taxes and mandatory contributions to state trust funds, single social payment, and customs for imported equipment, components, parts, assemblies, technological documentation, software not produced in Uzbekistan, according to lists approved in an established manner until January 1, 2028.

Moreover, resident companies are entitled to pay dividends and wages to foreign specialists in foreign currency by transferring to international payment cards, as well as exporting work and services for foreign currency through online stores on the Internet without the export contract.
