Extension of the special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan

The Decision #311 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 29, 2020 proclaims an extension of the special quarantine regime in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Under this Decision, the special quarantine regime in the country has been extended until September 30, 2020.

The special quarantine regime in Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron have been extended until September 30, 2020, however, the cities of Jalilabad, Ganja, Masalli, Mingachevir, Yevlakh and Barda, and Goranboy, Goygol, Khachmaz and Salyan districts will be removed from the zone of strict quarantine on 31 August 2020.

Restrictions on the activities of museums and exhibition halls across the country are being lifted.

Individual teaching and tutoring services are allowed in accordance with the rules of the special quarantine regime and in groups of up to 10 people.

The following restrictions shall remain valid in Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron with a special quarantine regime:

  • All public transport on weekends shall be suspended on the following dates:

from 00:00 (GMT+4) September 5 to 06:00 (GMT+4) September 7;

from 00:00 (GMT+4) September 12 to 06:00 (GMT+4) September 14;

from 00:00 (GMT+4) September 19 to 06:00 (GMT+4) September 21;

from 00:00 (GMT+4) September 26 to 06:00 (GMT+4) September 28;

  • The Baku metro will suspend its activity until 06:00 (GMT+4)  September 15, 2020;

At the same time, the rules on the areas of work and services (except the up-mentioned ones)  permitted and prohibited by the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 19 June 2020 shall remain valid.
