A new Free Economic Zone Chirokchi

The creation of a new free economic zone is envisaged by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 13 September, 2019 No.UP-5825 “On the Creation of the Free Economic Zone Chirokchi”.

The objectives pursued by the new Free Economic Zone Chirokchi include attracting direct investment, enhancement of production localization processes, increasing production, processing and export of agricultural products, developing logistics and others.

The period of functioning of the Free Economic Zone Chirokchi will be 30 years with a possible extension. The participants of the Free Economic Zone Chirokchi are provided the incentives envisaged in paragraphs 3, 4 and 5 of the Decree of the President dated 26 October, 2016 No.UP-4853. Foreign specialists involved in projects in the territory of the Free Economic Zone Chirokchi are issued multiple entry visas without charging consular and other fees.
