Medical cluster will be built in Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a Resolution dated 2 October, 2019, No.PKM-838 “On measures to create a modern medical cluster in the Gallaaral district of Jizzakh region”.

According to the Resolution, clinics, hospitals, educational campuses and other facilities will be located on 10 hectares in the Gallaaral district. They will be built using the "fast-track" method without obtaining licenses and permits in the construction industry, by creating a consortium between contractors and design organizations. The consortium participants are jointly and severally liable for the timely and high-quality implementation of the project.

To implement the project, the Digital Trust Development Support Fund for the Digital Economy created Medical Care Cluster LLC, which has been vested with organizational and coordination authorities, and has been provided tax benefits and other preferences. All participants of the project, including medical staff, are exempted from paying single social payment from the wage fund of attracted foreign specialists.

The project of the development of the cluster involves foreign and domestic investments, funds from international financial institutions, investment funds and bank loans.
