Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On public procurement” discussed

A meeting was organised in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of responsible specialists of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economy and Industry, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Preschool Education, Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other interested ministries and departments.

The meeting discussed proposals for the introduction of amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On public procurement", prepared by the Ministry of Finance, taking into account international experience.

Following the discussion, it was decided to create a working group to further improve the public procurement system.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance organised a meeting with international consultant Peter Trept, attracted by the Ministry of Finance with the support of the Asian Development Bank.
