Holders of an investment visa receive a residence permit in Uzbekistan

By Presidential Decree from 17 January 2019, an investment visa was introduced for individuals who made foreign investments, and per the amendments introduced, the procedure for issuing this visa and related benefits was established. Also, foreign investors with an investment visa, as well as members of their families, when studying at higher educational institutions are entitled to receive scholarships and postgraduate education on the conditions provided for citizens of Uzbekistan.

According to the amendments, a foreign citizen who has made investments in the amount of US$3 million is issued a residence permit in Uzbekistan for a period of 10 years (previously issued for a period of 5 years for all foreign citizens).
