GRATA International participated in Astana Legal Forum 2019

April 19, 2019, in Nur-Sultan, Astana Legal Forum 2019 was held at the Park Inn by Radisson hotel. The event hosted several parallel sessions on Dispute Resolution, Antimonopoly Law, Tax and Customs Law, Labor Law, Subsoil Use and Ecology. The event was attended by 150+ participants from large companies, ministries of Kazakhstan and law firms, including GRATA International.

At the Forum, four representatives of GRATA International spoke as speakers:

  - Bakhyt Tukulov, Director of the Department of Judicial Practice of GRATA International with the topic: "Discussion of the proposed amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure and our proposals for the change to the Code of Civil Procedure".

 - Maxim Burak, partner and head of Subsoil Use Department of GRATA International in Nur-Sultan, with the topic: "State regulation of transactions in subsoil use."

 - Leyla Makhmetova, counsel and director of the Environmental Law Department of GRATA International, with the topic: "Issues of State Environmental Control and the Application of Legal Responsibility in the Field of Environmental Protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

 - And also Lola Abdukhalykova, Senior Associate of the Banking and Finance Department of GRATA International, with the theme: "PPP in the field of health care: aspects of the law of Kazakhstan."

]The purpose of the forum was to create an annual platform for building a dialogue between management of legal departments of top 100 companies, judges, and leading law firms.
