alcohol and tobacco will increase

New excise tax rates are established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 24, 2019 No. UP – 5771 “On measures to further improve the regulation of production and realization of certain types of excisable goods”.

Starting from 15 August, excise tax for compressed gas will increase by 20% and constitute 435 soums for 1 cubic meter.

Moreover, term of previously granted licenses for production of alcohol products is extended. They will be effective till the end of this year. After this date, they must be reissued based on new licensing requirements.
