Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus On renewable sources of energy

Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus. September 24, 2019 No. 357

From November 1, 2019, the creation of new, as well as the reconstruction and modernization of existing renewable sources of energy within the quotas distributed from 2019 will be possible only with the use of new equipment and incentive coefficients when paying for electricity supplied to the state energy network.

The creation of renewable sources of energy’s installations for the purpose of energy support of its own economic activity is provided without quotas and without restrictions in terms of the use of new equipment. From such installations the state energy network is obliged to accept surplus of the electric power with application of stimulating coefficients (that is in excess of the volumes necessary for own economic activity).

Edict comes into force on November 1, 2019.
