Amendments to the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan establishing incentives to persons engaged in labor activity in the liberated territories were adopted

As per the amendments, the issuance of work permits to persons engaged in labor activities in the liberated territories will be carried out without applying the labor migration quota.

The term of the work permit of those involved in labor activities in the liberated territories may be extended for the period of up to 2 years each time.

In addition, the period for reviewing the work permit applications of those involved in labor activities in the liberated territories is reduced by 5 working days.

The above-mentioned amendments shall be in force from January 1, 2023 to January 1, 2028.
