Vladimir Komarov spoke at the IX BRICS Legal Forum 2024 in Moscow

On September 20, 2024, the IX BRICS Legal Forum 2024 ended.

Vladimir Komarov, Managing Partner of GRATA International St. Petersburg, took part in two sessions devoted to the legal dimension of international trade and the prospects of mediation as a way to resolve cross-border disputes in the BRICS countries.

During the session, the participants discussed important and relevant topics, such as the potential and prospects of general and bilateral international treaties, the development of private international law of the BRICS member countries, the BRICS arbitration court and the draft rules of the arbitration center, and many others.

Vladimir Komarov dwelled on these topics in detail, highlighted the problems and ways to solve them, and also answered all the questions from the discussion participants, which contributed to an open and lively dialogue.

Moreover, Vladimir Komarov put forward an initiative to create the BRICS International Financial Center, within the framework of which it would be possible to ensure uniform regulation, implement the idea of ​​an arbitration center proposed by the RSPP, and promptly eliminate contradictions in national legislation and, using modern means, switch to trading in national currencies.
