On 14 March GRATA International Serbia hosted a panel discussion on Legal Challenges in the Software Industry: Strategies and Solutions. Thev event was organized in Belgrade Art Hotel by the T-S Legal law firm in association with GRATA International and AK Đorđević Partners.

The panel session explored key legal issues facing the software sector and offered participants valuable insights. The panel addressed several critical topics, beginning with intellectual property rights in the software industry. Stevan Pajović, an attorney and partner at T-S Legal, examined whether software qualifies as a creative work under copyright law or an invention eligible for patent protection. He also discussed contracts in the software industry, highlighting their key components and the importance of understanding different types of agreements.

The third segment, led by Srdjan Djordjevic, an attorney at AK Đorđević Partners, encouraged active audience participation. This session focused on the challenges of resolving IP-related disputes, emphasizing best practices for legal protection of software products. Following this, attorney Dimitrije Jovanović delved into employment relations within software companies, shedding light on their unique characteristics and implications.

The panel concluded with attorney Medo Zornić presenting an overview of available tax incentives for software firms, along with strategies to maximize their benefits. This event provided a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of the legal challenges in the
