GRATA International Partner took part in the AIFC Court annual event The AIFC Moot Court Competition

October 9-10, 2024 Partner of GRATA International Liya Akzhanova took part at the AIFC Court annual event The AIFC Moot Court Competition as a judge. 

The AIFC Moot Court Competition is a prestigious event that provides student lawyers a unique opportunity to engage in a simulated common law court hearing. The students analyse a common law problem, research relevant legal principles, prepare written submissions, and present oral arguments before our distinguished AIFC Court judges.

The Grand Final of the 7th AIFC Moot Court Competition will be held on October 22, 2024, and will be judged by the AIFC Court Chief Justice, The Rt. Hon. The Lord Burnett of Maldon, and two other senior AIFC Court justices. This year, teams from leading universities in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan participated in the Moot Court competition.
