Managing Partner of GRATA International in China, Gulnur Nurkeyeva, spoke at the IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week 2024 held in Astana from 5 to 7 March.
Ms. Nurkeyeva joined the 'Role of Courts in Arbitration' panel moderated by Chris Campbell-Holt, Registrar and Chief Executive, AIFC Court and IAC.
Christopher Campbell-Holt managed the establishment of the AIFC Court and IAC. His experience includes advising many Governemnts on common law and dispute resolution institutions development in Middle East, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and South America. He has also served as Registrar of an international financial center commercial court and alternative dispute resolution center in Qatar.

The Rt. Hon. The Lord Burnett of Maldon - Chief Justice of the AIFC Court. From 2017 to 2023 he was Lord Chief Justice of England & Wales and President of all the Courts of England & Wales. He presided over civil and criminal appeals for Court of Appeal and continiues to sit in Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.
Prof. Antonio Pastor - Consultant at Herbert Smith Freehills. He specializes in public international law and European Union law with a particular focus on investment arbitration, Brexit issues, state responsibility, etc. He has served as an international legal advisor to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has represented a state in UNCITRAL arbitration.
