Shashank Agarwal quoted by MoneyControl on legal risks for pensioners acting as loan guarantors

Shashank Agarwal, Founder of Legum Solis (in association with GRATA International), has been quoted in an article published by MoneyControl, one of India’s leading business and financial news platforms.

The article, titled “Retirement at risk: why pensioners should think twice before becoming a loan guarantor,” explores the financial and legal implications for retirees who agree to guarantee loans.

Commenting on the legal status of pension funds once they are credited to a bank account, Shashank Agarwal explained that once pension payments are transferred to an individual’s account, they are considered paid and become part of the account holder’s general funds. As a result, such funds may legally be treated by banks as reachable assets.
