Insolvency and Restructuring

• Advised, assisted and represented the resolution professionals/liquidators (akin to receivers/administrators) in conducting the insolvency resolution process/liquidation process, of corporate debtors/corporate entities.
• Advised, assisted and represented the lenders/financial creditors as well as operational creditors in submitting their claims in the CIRP of the corporate debtors.
• Advised, assisted and represented the financial creditors in their role as members of the ‘Committee of Creditors’ during insolvency resolution process/liquidation process, ensuring their effective representation.
• Advised, assisted and represented the resolution applicants/prospective acquirers in drafting and vetting their resolution/acquisition plans and in protecting their interests in the resolution processes/liquidation processes
• Advised, assisted and represented the Resolution Professionals as well as the stakeholders in personal insolvency resolution processes, ensuring compliance with statutory timelines and procedural safeguards.
• Advised lenders/financial companies/non-banking financial companies in the insolvency resolution processes, liquidation processes, restructuring processes and various other money recovery matters and issues.
• Advised, assisted and represented the Resolution Professional in running the insolvency resolution process of Sathavahana Ispat Limited.
• Advised, assisted and represented the Resolution Applicant in the insolvency resolution process and acquisition of Educomp Infrastructure & Schools Management Limited.
• Advised, assisted and represented the Resolution Professional (who later became the Liquidator) in insolvency resolution (and subsequently, liquidation) process of Ind-Barath Thermal Power Limited.
• Advised, assisted and represented the Resolution Professionals in running the insolvency resolution process of high net-worth individuals.

Dispute Resolution

• Appeared, represented and argued various high-stake matters/cases before various courts of law, judicial tribunals and forums of law, including but not limited to before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts in India, National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Debt Recovery Tribunal, etc.
• Drafted, reviewed, settled and filed various suits/petitions/complaints/applications, etc. on behalf of the lenders/creditors and operational creditors for recovery of their moneys or initiating winding-up/resolution/liquidation processes;
• Drafted, reviewed, and filed various appeals arising from the orders of the Adjudicating Authorities/lower courts, on behalf of the creditors, resolution professionals and/or other stakeholders.
• Regularly advise and assist various school running trusts, societies, not-for-profit entities, in handling various litigations and disputes with the stakeholders.
• Advised and assisted in pre-litigation and litigation strategies and drafted, reviewed and issued pre-litigation legal notices, correspondences, etc.

General Corporate Practice 

• Advising foreign clients on their corporate ventures in India.
• Regularly advise and assist various school running trusts, societies, not-for-profit entities, in setting up trusts, societies, schools, and operations thereof.
• Advised various financiers and real estate developers in making investment in, and acquisition of, real estate properties situated in the Northern Capital Region
• Involved in various corporate restructuring transactions, including transactions for acquisition of companies, shares in the companies, debenture subscription and issuance transactions, project finance transactions, etc.;
• Involved in the matters relating to mergers/amalgamations of companies, drafting of petitions and schemes of merger, winding up of companies, conducting due diligence.
• Handled various due diligence activities and various corporate compliance activities for corporate restructuring transactions;
• Providing legal opinions on various issues of Corporate Laws, insolvency laws, etc.
