
As part of the Azerbaijan Urban Campaign (AUC2026), a joint initiative led by the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in partnership with UN-Habitat in preparation for the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13), a two-day business mission to Karabakh was successfully held on 30 April – 1 May 2026.
The mission was organized within the framework of the Construction and Infrastructure Working Group, established in 2022 through a joint initiative of GRATA International Azerbaijan and the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan).
The visit brought together private sector representatives, experts, and institutions to engage directly with ongoing reconstruction efforts and contribute to sustainable urban development in a post-conflict context.
The program included site visits to key locations across the region: Zengilan, Lachin, Shusha, Khankendi, Khojali, and Aghdam.

This initiative contributes to fostering collaboration between local and international stakeholders and strengthens the connection between national reconstruction efforts and the global urban development agenda under WUF13.
