GRATA International Advises on Acquisition of a Renewable Energy Company in Kyrgyzstan.

GRATA International team in Kyrgyzstan led by Elvira Maratova has provided comprehensive legal support to a Chinese investor in connection with the acquisition of a local company, “Balykchy Green Energy” LLC.

Under the transaction, the investor acquired a company that will launch construction and operation of a 150 MW photovoltaic power generation project located in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic. The project aims to promote renewable energy development and strengthen the region’s energy capacity.

Elvira Maratova, Partner, Aisanat Safarbek kyzy, Partner and Sultan Tolomushev, Counsel, provided full legal support on all key stages of the transaction, including legal due diligence, deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents (SPA, Investment agreement), establishing a project company in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as assistance through closing.
