Dr Gulnur Nurkeyeva Speaks at the 2026 Multinational Enterprises Tianjin Visit

GRATA International is pleased to announce that Dr Gulnur Nurkeyeva, Managing Partner and Head of the China Office, took part as a guest speaker in the 2026 Multinational Enterprises Tianjin Visit (2026“跨国企业天津行”), jointly organised by the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and CITIC Group under the theme “Invest in Tianjin, Win a Shared Future”.

At the invitation of the organisers, Dr Nurkeyeva delivered a speech on Kazakhstan’s investment climate. The programme also featured meetings with Tianjin government officials, CITIC Group representatives and executives of multinational companies on investment and industrial cooperation, including with Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region.

The event brought together more than 300 guests from 240 companies, institutions and industry organisations from over 30 countries and regions. 60% of participating companies were Fortune Global 500 companies, “hidden champions” and industry leaders, and more than 70% of guests were senior executives. According to Xi Guohua, Party Secretary and Chairman of CITIC Group, this edition attracted the largest number of foreign institutions in the history of CITIC’s Multinational Enterprises China Visit series. Chen Min’er, Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, and Zhang Gong, Mayor of Tianjin, met with key international guests.

The programme included site visits to the Binhai New Area, the smart zero-carbon container terminal of Tianjin Port and the Novo Nordisk production facility, as well as thematic matchmaking sessions, including the Central Asia Cooperation Session. In total, more than 100 meetings and site visits were held. The event concluded on 23 October with the Industrial Cooperation Conference, at which cooperation agreements were signed between foreign companies, CITIC Group and Tianjin.

Kazakhstan was well represented at the event. Tianjin Rail Transit Group and its Chinese and Kazakh partners signed four cooperation agreements covering the construction and operation of the Astana light rail system, talent training, industrial development and cross-border finance.
