Morris Garages starts car production in Kazakhstan
Allur has announced the launch of local production of MG (Morris Garages) cars, which will be organized at its plant in the city of Kostanay, along with their sales on the domestic market.
The project marks a continuation of the strategic partnership between Allur and SAIC Motor - China’s largest automotive corporation and one of the global industry leaders.
4.6 trillion tenge to be spent on roads in Kazakhstan
According to Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev, Kazakhstan plans to implement road projects totaling 3,250 kilometers over the next three years. The total funding will amount to 4.6 trillion tenge.
Their implementation will significantly increase transit potential and provide a direct economic effect. Priority projects include the development of international transport corridors and regional routes.
Road repairs in Kazakhstan this year
According to Darhan Imanashev, Chairman of the national company “KazAvtoZhol”, nearly 9,000 kilometers of roads will be repaired in Kazakhstan this year, including:
Range Rover dealer comes under Astana Motors management
Astana Motors acquired a JLR dealership center in the city of Astana. Previously, the official dealer of Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar brands belonged to Terra Motors, according to Astana Motors’ press service.
Online vehicle registration on eGov.kz and eGov Mobile
Online car registration services are now available on Kazakhstan’s e-government portal eGov.kz and in the eGov Mobile app.
Users can register cars purchased from official dealers, replace vehicle registration certificates and license plates without changing ownership, and complete sales transactions when ownership changes - all fully online.
New feature for changing license plates added to eGov
Kazakhstani car owners can now purchase any license plate online without needing a reason for re-registration, such as a change of ownership. This feature simplifies the process of obtaining and registration “custom” license plates.
New recycling fee for cars from Russia and Belarus: how prices will change
Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspayev announced plans to significantly increase the recycling fee for cars and agricultural machinery imported from Russia and Belarus.
At the same time, rates for cars and machinery produced in Kazakhstan or imported from other countries (including Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) will remain unchanged. The draft of amendments has already been prepared and is under discussion.
In some cases, the new recycling fees for passenger cars from Russia and Belarus may increase dozens of times.
Odd-even traffic system under consideration in Kazakhstan
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nyssanbayev stated that Kazakhstan is considering introducing an odd-even vehicle restriction system to improve urban environmental conditions.
Earlier this year, a delegation of ministry officials, environmental experts, and public organization representatives was sent to China to study the country’s experience in combating air pollution.
Jetour enters Kazakhstan’s top 5 brands and lowers crossover prices
Jetour continues to strengthen its position in the Kazakhstan market by offering new pricing conditions for its crossovers. According to the brand’s official distributor, it ranked among the leaders in new car sales in 2025.
Data from the Kazakhstan Automobile Union shows that 14,507 Jetour vehicles were sold in the country in 2025, placing the brand in the top five best-selling automotive brands.
New payment rules for toll roads in Kazakhstan
Under updated regulations, the payment deadline for individuals has been extended. Drivers now have 30 calendar days to pay toll fees. If unpaid, the case will be forwarded to transport control authorities on the 31st day.
A distinction between individuals and legal entities has been introduced for the first time.
For legal entities, payment must be made by the 20th day of the month following the reporting period. Failure to comply will result in materials being sent to transport control authorities the next day.
Kia Soluto enters top 5 best-selling cars in Kazakhstan
Allur, citing the Kazakhstan Automobile Union, reported that the new compact sedan Kia Soluto, priced from 6.99 million tenge, has entered the top five best-selling new cars on the Kazakhstan market.
JAC cuts car prices in Kazakhstan
JAC, which has been operating in Kazakhstan for more than 10 years as part of Allur, announced a major price reduction across its model lineup.
According to Allur’s press service, under the updated pricing policy, the cost of popular models has decreased, with savings for buyers now reaching up to 4,000,000 tenge depending on the model, configuration, and year of manufacture.
Autonomous cars and drones to launch in Kazakhstan - timeframe announced
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev announced at a government meeting on March 31 that Kazakhstan plans to introduce autonomous cars and delivery drones.
He noted that special attention is being given to the development of autonomous technologies. An experimental project involving international tech companies is planned for autonomous cars, with implementation scheduled for Q2 2026.
Additionally, a pilot project for delivery drones is already underway as part of a private initiative.
