
GRATA International’s Kazakhstan office has contributed to The International AI in Financial Services Review 2026/27, published by Beaumont Capital Markets. The international publication brings together perspectives from legal and financial experts across a range of jurisdictions on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in banking and financial services. The Review includes contributions covering, among others, China, Germany, Japan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The Kazakhstan chapter featured in the Review, “Kazakhstan – A Pioneer in Artificial Intelligence Regulation: Balancing Fintech Development and Consumer Rights Protection,” was prepared by Marina Kahiani, Yasmin Rashidova, Sakzhan Kanafin, Zhan Jumaliyev and Balaussa Auyezova of GRATA International Kazakhstan.
The chapter examines Kazakhstan’s evolving regulatory framework for artificial intelligence in the financial sector, including AI regulation, fintech development, the use of AI by financial institutions, data protection and consumer rights.
In addition to the chapter published in the Review, GRATA International has prepared an extended version of the article, which provides a more comprehensive analysis of Kazakhstan’s AI and financial services regulatory landscape.
