GRATA International Beijing lawyers took part as arbitrators in the 5th Annual IAC Central Asia Vis Pre-Moot 2025

From 17 to 27 March 2025, Gulnur Nurkeyeva, Managing Partner, Head of China Office, Akzhan Sargaskayeva, Counsel, and Zhibek Mukhamedkarim, Senior Associate of GRATA International Beijing, took part as arbitrators in the General rounds and Quarter-finals at the 5th Annual IAC Central Asia Vis Pre-Moot 2025, which was held online and hosted by the AIFC Court and International Arbitration Centre.

The Vis Moot is the world’s leading student mock arbitration hearing competition, dedicated to advancing the study of international commercial law and arbitration. By tackling real-world legal problems, it plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of arbitration professionals.

This year’s competition brought together 24 teams from 15 countries, representing top universities from across the globe. The AIFC Court and IAC continue to make a significant impact on the development of young legal talent in Kazakhstan and the wider Eurasia region.
