
We are pleased to share that Mrs. Akzhan Sargaskayeva, Partner at GRATA International China Office, participated as a key panelist in the panel session “Key Global Developments in Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration” at the Young Eurasian Arbitration Week 2026 (YEAW2026) held at the AIFC Court & IAC premises in Astana.

Held at the AIFC Court & IAC in Astana and moderated by Isaac Webb, Associate at White & Case Washington DC, the panel brought together leading dispute resolution experts including Almat Igenbayev (Managing Director of Case Management Department, AIFC Court & IAC), Ilia Rachkov (Partner, NSP Law firm), and Alexandre Hublet (Partner, White & Case).
During discussion, Mrs.Akzhan Sargaskayeva focused on the impact of Chinese investment on Central Asia’s arbitration landscape over the past two decades, and shared critical insights into Chinese businesses’ dispute resolution strategies and the growing importance of proactive recognition & enforcement planning in cross-border arbitration.

YEAW2026, hosted by the AIFC Court & IAC and organized in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program, and White & Case LLP, with the support of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, brought together the leading judges, arbitrators, policymakers, global dispute resolution experts, and the next generation of legal talent.

The event concluded with a formal dinner hosted by the IAC Chairman and the AIFC Court Chief Justice in honour of the Young Eurasian Arbitration Week 2026.
