Vladimir Komarov shared his views on the future of international investment arbitration with the Treteyskiy Sud journal (Arbitration Court journal)

Vladimir Komarov, Managing Partner of GRATA International (St. Petersburg, Russia) and Arbitrator for domestic disputes at the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (ICAC), shared his views with the Treteyskiy Sud  journal (Arbitration Court journal) on the future of international investment arbitration.

In his commentary, Vladimir noted that while the debate surrounding investment arbitration remains of considerable academic interest, it is becoming increasingly detached from the practical realities of dispute resolution.

In his view, the future development of investment arbitration will depend less on doctrinal debate and more on geopolitical developments, the approach taken by national courts when reviewing and setting aside arbitral awards, and the continued evolution of arbitral jurisprudence.

The full commentary was published in Issue No. 3/4 of the Treteyskiy Sud journal.
