On 24 June 2026, Dr Gulnur Nurkeyeva, Managing Partner and Head of the China Office at GRATA International, will participate in the International Forum of IMEA Central Asia titled “Cross-Border Mediation: Between Standards and Professional Independence.”

The forum will be held online via Zoom from 11:00 to 16:00 (KZT) / 12:00 to 17:00 (KGT) / 08:00 to 13:00 (CEST) and will bring together leading international experts in dispute resolution, mediation, and cross-border business.

The event focuses on cross-border mediation, professional standards, and mediator independence in international practice. It will explore the nature of international disputes, practical challenges of mediating across jurisdictions, the balance between international standards and mediator independence, business expectations, and emerging trends in alternative dispute resolution.

Dr Gulnur Nurkeyeva will speak at the panel “Cross-Border Mediation: Cases and Practice,” sharing her practical experience in advising on international M&A transactions and resolving cross-border commercial disputes involving Chinese state-owned enterprises, Fortune 500 companies, and major financial institutions. The panel will provide a comprehensive perspective on cross-border mediation from legal, business, and practitioner viewpoints, focusing on real-life cases and evolving practices.

Other speakers include Delsi Lagunes de Anglim (Australia), a globally recognized mediator and World Bank panel expert; Viktoriia Polishchuk (Ukraine), a specialist in labor and commercial disputes; and Askar Sydykov (Kyrgyz Republic), an expert in corporate governance and business.

The session will be moderated by Askar Kaldybaev, Executive Director and Arbitrator of the Arbitration Center of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken.”
