GRATA International Beijing wins prestigious China Business Law Journal’s Deals of the Year Award 2024 

We are thrilled to announce that GRATA Beijing is a winner of China Business Law Journal’s Deals of the Year Award 2024 for its role in representing CITIC Construction on a high-speed road construction related bank guarantee dispute.

The case was a highly complex and high-stakes dispute, requiring deep legal expertise and strategic insight. GRATA Beijing represented CITIC Construction at all court instances, from the first-instance court to the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, ensuring a favorable resolution for the client. The total amount ordered for payment by the court is approximately USD 10 million.

GRATA Beijing team, led by Gulnur Nurkeyeva, Managing Partner and Head of the China Office, with key contributions from Akzhan Sargaskayeva, Counsel, played a pivotal role in securing this outcome. Their deep expertise in cross-border disputes and financial litigation was instrumental in navigating the complexities of the case.
