The suspension of determining the rental fee in the equivalent of a sum in foreign currency has been extended
Previously, the landlord´s right to determine the fee as equivalent to a certain amount in foreign currency was suspended from the 23rd of September, 2022 to the 1st of January, 2024.
The draft law that extends the prohibition until 01.01.2025 stays in the last stages of adoption by Parliament and signing by the President. Therefore, it is necessary to set the rent in BYN (Belarussian rubles) for a year without bounding to a foreign currency.
