Changes in the amount of state fees when applying to the courts of the Russian Federation

GRATA International St. Petersburg informs that draft Federal Law No. 577665-8 "On Amending Parts One and Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on Taxes and Duties" was approved by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on 02 August 2024 and sent to the President of the Russian Federation for consideration.

The draft law envisages a significant increase in the already regulated state duties, as well as the collection of state duties for those actions for which there was no need to pay it earlier.

Thus, the maximum amount of state duties payable for filing property claims subject to assessment will be increased from 60,000 roubles to 900,000 roubles (when applying to a court of general jurisdiction with a claim whose price exceeds 1,000,000 roubles) and from 200,000 roubles to 10,000,000 roubles (when applying to an arbitration court with a claim whose price exceeds 50,000,000 roubles).

The draft law also increased the state fees payable when applying to the arbitration court for bankruptcy: an individual applicant will have to pay a fee of 10,000 roubles (instead of 300 roubles) and a legal entity applicant - 100,000 roubles (instead of 6,000 roubles).
