GRATA International Russia case: Support for the handover of rights to a unique award–winning sculpture in the area of cinematography

Client: A Russian cinematographer who participated in the filming of films such as "Brother", "Brother-2", "Happy Days", "The Heart of Parma", etc.

The client participates in the organization of the festival of documentaries, short films and animated films "Message to man". A friend of the client presented him with a statuette in the form of an angel cameraman. It was decided to use the sculpture as an award to the winners of the competition of young talents in the field of cinematography.

The lawyers of GRATA International St. Petersburg held several rounds of negotiations with the copyright holder, prepared a draft agreement on the alienation of exclusive rights to the work, which took into account the interests of the client and the copyright holder. We accompanied the client until the signing of the Pro Bono agreement.

The importance of this project for the client is a result, the client has received the right to dispose of the sculpture of the angel cameraman and its image at his discretion, including this sculpture will be a harmonious and valuable award for young, talented students of cinematographers of the festivals, ”St. Anna" and "PeterKiT".
