Dr. Gulnur Nurkeyeva Participates as Distinguished Speaker at “Hello Shenyang” Forum Organized by the SCO Secretariat and Shenyang Municipal Government

Dr. Gulnur Nurkeyeva, Managing Partner of GRATA International and Head of the China Office, joined the “Hello Shenyang” event as a distinguished speaker, contributing her legal and regional expertise to the presentation of Shenyang’s Trade and Economic Potential for SCO Countries. The forum took place in Beijing on July 9, 2025, and was co-organized by the SCO Secretariat and the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government.

The event aimed to strengthen regional trade cooperation and foster economic ties between SCO member states and China’s northeast region, which are emerging as important industrial and logistics hubs. Key speakers included Mr. Nurlan Yermekbayev, Secretary-General of the SCO, and Mr. Jiyang Duan, Vice Mayor of Shenyang.

Dr. Gulnur Nurkeyeva made remarks during the session highlighting the dynamic trade relationship between China and Kazakhstan. She shared GRATA International’s experience in supporting Chinese investments in Kazakhstan and emphasized the growing importance of bilateral strategic partnerships. She also addressed the differences in dispute resolution mechanisms between the two countries, offering practical insights on navigating legal and regulatory frameworks for foreign businesses operating across borders.

Enterprise participants of the event included prominent companies such as Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd., Shenyang Yuanda Group, and Sinotrans Storage (Shenyang) Logistics Co., Ltd., who presented their business interests and cooperation opportunities with SCO member states.
