From 14 to 16 April, the 16th Mining and Geological Forum MINEX Kazakhstan 2026 will take place in Astana, focusing on “Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan: Reforms and Value Creation in a Multi-Vector Reality.”
Held annually since 2010, the forum is one of the key industry platforms, bringing together representatives of relevant ministries, international organizations, mining companies, technology firms, financial institutions, stock exchanges, investors, and industry associations.
Kazakhstan’s strategic role as one of the global leaders in the mining sector and a reliable partner for international markets makes MINEX Kazakhstan a key venue for discussing industry development prospects, investment opportunities, and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and resource projects.
As part of the forum, Almat Daumov, Partner and Head of Natural Resources at GRATA International, will be a speaker at the first strategic session: Geopolitics in the Ground: Kazakhstan’s Role in the Global Mineral Race (15 April) on “Regulation of the Mining Industry in Central Asia: Investment Lessons from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan for Kazakhstan.” He will also moderate the second strategic session on Policy Dialogue: Balancing Control and Investment, featuring senior government officials and leading industry representatives.
Samat Daumov, Partner and Head of the Astana Office, will participate in the forum as a delegate.
The forum is expected to bring together over 1,000 participants from more than 30 countries, reinforcing its status as a leading international platform for dialogue and cooperation in the mining sector.
