A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. A legal adviser, a
member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw. He also completed postgraduate
studies in company value management at the Warsaw School of Economics and post-graduate course
in corporate law at the University of Warsaw’s School of Law.
He has experience in gaining and implementing concessions for exploration and mining hydrocarbons
as well as in obtaining accompanying decisions.
Paweł Martynek specialises in mining, geological and energy law. He has participated in numerous
hydrocarbon exploration and mining projects, including offshore ones. He has extensive experience
in corporate law including establishing entities, corporate governance implementation and statutory
reporting. He has gained experience in contracting, negotiating and supply chain processes in the
field of selling fuel gas as well as purchasing highly specialized services and materials’ supplies.
In the years 2003 – 2008, he was worked for Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (PGNiG),
where he held, among others, a position of Director of Domestic Trade Department. His duties
included selling fuel gas to strategic customers. He actively participated in the process of financial
restructuring of entities from the metallurgical and chemical sectors. In the years 2008 -2017, he held
the position of Vice President of the Management Board of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o. being
responsible, among others for corporate matters, purchasing, acquisition of insurance coverage and
quality systems.
