Durdymuhammet Akjayev is a Partner at GRATA International in Turkmenistan. He began his legal career in 2004, and for over 15 years, he worked as a judge in the courts of Turkmenistan of general jurisdiction. During his time as a judge, he presided over civil cases, considered cases related to offenses, and ensured justice in criminal cases.

Durdymuhammet has extensive practical experience in the application of property law, labor law, family law, inheritance law, housing law, and contract law. He also has experience in matters of social security and administrative-legal relations. After working in the courts, Durdymuhammet continued his legal practice at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan. He was involved in a UN project aimed at improving labor legislation in Turkmenistan and was a member of the working group that developed and adopted the new edition of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan.
